Curriculum Test of Writing
The ICFE test of writing focuses on two major areas candidates will need to cover in their working life, they are: writing a letter and writing a financial report. For both sections the candidate will have to respond to information given.

Test Summary

Part 1 – Writing a letter (40%) – The candidate must respond to a letter provided with correct structure as well as vocabulary and grammar usage. They must work within a limit of 120-180 words.

Part 2 – Writing a report (60%) – The candidate must create a report based on a context and four content points laid out in the exam. They must work within a limit of 200-250 words

What can you do to prepare?

Along with signing up for The Learning Institute’s specialised ICFE course training, students can begin to practice writing both letters and financial reports focusing on arranging their thoughts into clear paragraphs and covering all the necessary details within a specified word limit. In order to help with the style and format of letters and reports students can read existing documents both on the internet and from other sources.
